180 Man Sng
Upsetting last few days, played around 2 mtts a day and have tried hard but frequent bubble or near big money finishes have left me a little disheartened. One of which was my first omaha mtt, still I am playing well at the moment and it is the nature of mtts that you going to need some degree of good fortune , lately im just experiencing the other side of the coin.
Today, I woke up around 2pm , and I chilled mostly. I registered for this $20 180 man sng on Stars. I've played it a afew times , and in truth I have a pretty poor record in it.But I still like the idea of it, its a freezeout , $20 is reasonable and the top 2 places still make it worth playing while the rest of the final table cashes make the hours work worthwhile too for $20.
Anyway, I thought id give a rundown on my mtt as I play. First 2 levels, I havent seen anything playable and lost $500 of my stack raising with A-3- in cuttoff and being re raised on a 10 J Q flop. Then I doubled up with my 750 stack when i re raised all in a late pos bettor with A K, he called correctly with TT and I was fortunate to hit a King so have $1,400 in chips.Seems every pot i try and take someone has the crown jewels, I riase now level 4 $50/$100 with 10 J in cut off to 250, bb calls. flop Q 8 8 , i bet $325, he calls, turn Q. he bets , i lay he shows A-8-. $800 chips.
surrendering the blinds with trash to riases - left with $600 :O. ep , K 10 all in,really not a good hand , but 6 x bb , no choice thankfully they all pass. $750.
1st Break, 650 74th out of 75 lol. Not looking very promising so far. BB will be 150 when break is over , so going to need some nhs ro nice fortune.1st hand back im in mid, early pushed all in , i have 4-4- , i opt to pass.Marginal there, but i hate calling all in with small pairs, unless im invested and short.
Mid positionm Ks2s, "im all in".hmm they fold still, $875 in chips. BB-8d3d,fold to button raise. Really bad cards i getting this mtt, but eh.Cutoff limps ,23c, i limp from sb, flop 10-7-5, check/fold obviously. 575 chips. Inevitable i going to get into a showdown very soon.mid, ep limped, As2s, i really have no choice, maybe he limped with paint. I push , he has A-K- nice flop 3510 (2spades) but I dont improve and bust out in 64th place. I ll play a mtt later, im not that annoyed really. Nothing could go my way that mtt.
