You lose la loser....

Okay, so I woke up late like 4pm, I decided that I was going to play ALOT of online mtts tonight in search of a nice result since I haven';t dont well lately online and since Sundays have the best pools.

I entered Bodogs, Sporting Odds, and Mansions $100k.... No cashes in any. Didn;'t play bad at all, played solid, careful and the structures aint bad ya know. But when you dont ever hit and lose every 50-50 and 60-40 then what chance I got ?

Cue Full Tilt, Pokerstars and UB. I entered Ub's sunday mtt and Full Tilt's and suffered bad fortune in UB's losing a nice pot KK vs AT vs AK. Meh.
Then on Full Tilts, I re raised all in from a button raise with AQoff and he called with 2-2.

Pokerstars I ran my AKs into 78 suited (preflop ss tho) and couldnt win.


So all in all a bad bad day for me, must have played 8 tourneys and not one cash let alone score! I think multi tabling isn't for me. It shows to me that I play my best when I am observing the table, and also shows that I dont really get enough nh's alone to win a mtt. I played solid , really solid today and it didnt even merit me a cash!

I am still in one mtt as we speak (Full Tilt $75k gtd) and I do hope I get something from this but I am not too hopeful , (226/404). Well wish me luck..Lord knows I need it.

Damn Damn Damn

Yo, Went notts today - me n aelred came to play a £50 Double Rebuy comp. I played this alot this year, and know the calibre of player and structure. I came expecting to make some money tbh since I haven't fared well online the small amount I've played since I went home on Monday.

Anyhoo, we got in , napped a bit then I went and played the comp. (Aelred Overslept lol) , I played solid during rebuy hour and ended it in sound shape when I had 6-6 and tripled through on a 10-9-6 flop. Post rebuy I was playing small ball effectively taking the odd shot and pots people didnt seem concerned in losing when I got a monster, ep (weak player overplays hands ) raised it up, I re popped it another 3,100 after he initially made it 1,700 and he seemed very interested , I could sense he was just going to shove in for the extra 11k, I then said "shove it in then what you waiting for?" and he said " Ok" and pushed staring at me. I really sensed he had AA and I thought for a bit before saying " not folding this with this structure" and reluctantly called, he turned over Aces and I was lucky enough to hit the K.

This put me in good shape and I sat tight for a bit after deciding to let my hands play themselves for a bit since the blinds werent worth taking and noyone was so deep that I could play flops with them.

20 left and I got moved , blinds were 1/2k I had around 40,000 when I get QQ ep, I make it 5,500 a creative player pushed in and I felt very strongly I was ahead and made the call knowing this pot makes me one of the mtt chip leaders (average for FT is 75,000) He looked ashamed somewhat and turned over K-3 and hit a K on flop. I decided to push blind for my last 5,500 next hand and was out. Wasted journey I guess, and a pisstake ending. I could have won this comp twice in succession perhaps If my QQ held there but eh....I'm used to it. He gave me a shot at winning.Thanks fish.

Live Win

I played more live mtts this week then I usually ever would, played sunday, tuesday,wedsnesday and thursday. Well, Thursday I took down a win for £2400.I felt I played very well before arriving at the Final table where I was around 3rd in chips. I made a bad call with 10-10 on the FT calling a ss all in on turn with board showing Q-2-2-2-..and he had the q. But I hung in and played solid waiting for opportune moments for double ups before I gotHeads up where I had a 7/8-1 chip deficit. We played for almost an hour and I managed to bag the win.

Other news is I have temporarly focused my online attentions to cash games, at the moment I am playing $2/$4 nlhe on 32red (prima) anddoing quite well. I hope it continues cos I enjoy cash games like I once did.

Well, I can't be bothered to go into depth this time, I'll fill in some actual poker hands/analysis in my next post when im more free.

Back to playing well....

Just got back from casino , and although I only came 9th I am relatively happy with myself for playing very well. I ran my stack up well betting well and timing my bluffs. I was lucky to get a weak table with 4 tables left and owned it for a good hour. Late on , I lost chips though making an obligatory call with 8-9 vs QJ on button , (3-1 money) lost. Then ran my AK suited on button into bb with KK. Like I am gonna hit lol?

Some pots i played well were, 2 limpers for 3k, I make it 13k on button with 67 and they pass. Another I had KJ limped utg, bet into the blinds on a 3-5-7 flop. One call, Turn A, I lead again on the turn and he folded. I basically adapted really well, then final table came. I only had 35,000 Average was 77k ,I had KK, was up against JJ and A8 on 1st hand of FT. A pot which would give me a well above average stack. When an A hit the river. Meh. £80 but I played really well and the fish gave a dangerous player a shot at winning the tournament.

Sunday - Status -

Woke up early afternoon today and was going to play live but mate ran out of petrol so stayed in , ate, chilled for a bit before playing the sunday million. I entered thinking that my play lately hasnt been at it's best and my luck even worse but hey, its once a week. Why not ?

7,000 runners and 10,000 deceptive stack though doesn't bode well. I played a reasonable game, didn't really think through all my decisions really well, didn't really get any massive hands, Still I cashed coming like 1,060th when 1,080 pay. $282 and a pat on the back as i bust out. With A-K vs K-K all in pre flop. I had 7 x bb and pushed from mid , button had KK as usual. I played the warm up earlier and busted out AK suited vs Jacks so no score today.

My Mtts for June are : Played 5 - Cashed 3.


I can tell I am frustrated online at the moment and am contemplating taking a short break, I know I am a strong player and my results although not amazing do reflect a degree of talent, I reckon If I chill a bit, don't play out of habit and not whine as much then hopefullly I can make a result. Lately, I haven't been concerned enough with improving my game which is something I have always looked to do. Its an arrogant mistake to make especially for someone who has had an average 2007. Anyway, just thought I'd update on current status. Peace.
